Even when your local area isn't prone to suffering from heavy snowfall, putting snow tires on the vehicle may be recommended. And checking the air pressure on the tires during the cold season may need to be done with greater frequency. Drivers might not always think about tire issues during the winter. The colder months bring these and other concerns.

Do you drive on a third or even a quarter tank of gas? Doing so might set the stage for problems in the winter. What if snowy road conditions lead to traffic jams or delays? Not having enough gas in the tank could lead to problems.

Hopefully, the vehicle has windshield wiper blades in place and the right motor oil running through the engine. New coolant should go into the radiator on time, as well. Don't forget about checking the other fluids.
